Who We Are

In partnership with the Bayside Rowing Club, Toronto Police, and the Viking Boat Races and Festival, we are the Eric the Red Rowing League for Kids. We invite inner city youth to row in the viking boat and experience a sometimes unreachable sport.

What We Do

We make the sport of rowing available to everyone! We invite students from inner city schools to come down to the water and participate. By engaging students in a new sport, and challenging them, we create a brand new, life enhancing experience.

What We’ve Done

Since The Bayside Rowing Club has opened, over 3 million dollars have been raised for kids. Our rowers have gained scholarships to Harvard, Yale, Princeton and Boston University. Other graduates of the program have gone on to excel in the sport of rowing, winning medals at the Pan-American games.

How We’ve Done It

For 15 years, The Bayside Rowing Club has been reaching out to the inner city community, and inviting them experience the sport of rowing. During the day time hours, the boats are unused by the various teams, and recreational club rowers, therefore, we are able to give this time to the students.
