For 15 years, The Bayside Rowing Club has been reaching out to the inner city community, and inviting them experience the sport of rowing. During the day time hours, the boats are unused by the various teams, and recreational club rowers, therefore, we are able to give this time to the students.

Normally in the sport of rowing, the parents write a cheque for a large some of money in order for their son/daughter to join the team. Since these kids do not have that luxury, we reach out to the corporate community to help sponsor teams and make this available to everyone.

For their weekly session the club has arranged specific time slots and days of the week available for the schools to utilize. These are Mon-Thurs 9:30-10:30, 10:30-11:30, 1:00-2:00, and 2:00-3:00
The students come down via bus during the school day with a teacher + a volunteer accompanying them to and from the rowing club.
